Extraction 3 release date, cast: What we know so far about Chris Hemsworth's upcoming Netflix movie

Chris Hemsworth's "Extraction 2" has received a fairly positive responses on Netflix. The streaming giant has officially announced that the 'Thor' star will make a comeback as Tyler Rake and there will be "Extraction 3". 

 The official production status for Extraction 3 is in development. Casting, scripts, and pre-production will have to be done before the filming can begin for "Extraction 3", according to a report in Whats on Netflix. 

The filming of first and second installments of 'Extraction' typically started in the months of November. Filming of both the films went for four months and culminated in March, as per the report. Once the filming begins for "Extraction 3", only then a guess pertaining to the release date of Chris Hemsworth's movie will be logical. 

 As for casting, it is evident that Chris Hemsworth will be back. It is likely that Golshifteh Farahani will also be back as 'Nik'. The first two films centre on black ops mercenary Tyler Rake (Hemsworth). In the first film, Tyler takes on a mission to save an Indian crime lord's son, but it pushes him to the brink of death. 

 Extraction 2' picks up with Tyler recovering from the assignment, but then he decides to embark on another risky task in order to save the family of an infamous Georgian gangster. 

 Hargrave, whose directorial debut was the first 'Extraction', has lent his stunt expertise to the franchise's second film as well. The stuntman-turned-director stunned fans with the sequel's use of a singular shot for a 21-minute action sequence.
