The status of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle as members of royalty has come into question, particularly in the United States, after a world-renowned figure claimed their actions have drawn them away from their royal heritage.  The couple, who stepped down from their royal duties in 2020, have been residing in California since then. That's what a former New York Knicks trainer realized when he questioned Bird for practicing bank shots from the three-point line ahead of the game.  To this day, Boston Globe sportswriter Dan Shaughnessy still vividly recalls how the epic exchange between Bird and Knicks trainer Mike Saunders went down. According to Shaughnessy, Saunders asked the Boston Celtics star why bother banking treys when there's no chance he would be able to do it in the game later.  Saunders' comment triggered Bird's competitive drive and playfulness.
