This will be Harry’s second stint in the UK since he quickly flew back following King Charles' cancer diagnosis, prompted by a ‘very personal’ phone call. Kate Middleton receives ‘serious’ apology ahead of Easter Sunday celebrations

Image
Kate Middleton has been offered a serious apology before the upcoming Easter Sunday festivities.  The previous week, the Princess of Wales disclosed that she had commenced cancer treatment following an abdominal procedure in January that revealed the presence of cancer.  Before this announcement, there had been widespread speculation worldwide regarding the Princess's health and location. Royal Commentator Lee Cohen asserted that the story was significant even in America.  Appearing on GBN America, Cohen told host Nana Akua that he has "personally apologised" on behalf of "despicable" celebrities in the States, arguing many joined in on the online conspiracies surrounding Kate. Cohen blasted the "cheap shots" taken by celebrities and hosts in America and said the digs were "at the Princess of Wales's expense".  Many celebrities, including actress Blake Lively, took to social media to apologise for joining in on the viral conspiracies con

Prince Harry, Meghan Markle risk losing relationship with Kate Middleton 'forever'

Image
Meghan Markle and Prince Harry could risk permanently losing their relationship with Kate Middleton.  Writing for the Daily Mail, royal author Richard Eden suggested now is the high time that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex seek forgiveness from cancer-stricken Princess of Wales.  Kate revealed her diagnosis with an undisclosed form of cancer to public last week; a source told the New York Post that the Montecito couple weren’t informed prior to the official announcement.  According to Eden, the senior royal’s decision against informing Harry and Meghan beforehand highlights the intensity of the rift between the two parties. The royal expert compared the parents of Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet about one hour and 30 minutes earlier than the TV broadcast, noting, “they were trusted, evidently.”  The Spare author used to share a close bond with Kate, which was often on display during their joint outings and public engagements. However, the dynamics drastically shifted when Harry’s

Larry Bird ponders on the 1988 Three-Point Shootout had he missed the Moneyball: "I just knew I had to make shots"

Image
Bird admits he would have been embarrassed had his game-winning Moneyball attempt failed to go in at the 1988 NBA Three-Point contest. Boston Celtics legend Larry Bird made his mark as one of the deadliest shooters in the NBA.  He had a wide array of offensive tricks under his sleeve, although his three-point shooting stands out because he was one of the first players to fully utilize it to his advantage. Ironically, Bird admits that when he entered the league in 1979, he was not known as an elite shooter.  He had to work on his shooting, and it just so happened the same year the three-point line was introduced. Mastering the three-point shot As most know, Larry Legend's hard work paid off. He turned out to be one of the deadliest shooters of the game and put that in full display when he took part in the NBA Three-Point shootout from 1986 to 1988.  The 1980 Rookie of the Year reigned as the Three-Point contest for three consecutive years, fending off anyone who tried to outshoo

In photos from the event, the parents hugged Charlie and smiled widely while taking in the ceremony.  It was the fourth time that Charlie’s school has taken home the state title — which they won in November — and comes amid the younger Woods' own quest to strike out on his own. Last month, Charlie came up short to qualify for the PGA Tour, after failing to advance in the 2024 Cognizant Classic tournament at PGA National in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida.  While his frequent caddie and dad was not in attendance, Charlie was accompanied by his mom. "This explains his dad body!" another fan joked. "Man can do whatever he wants. Dad bod season and still torc

Eddie Johnson’s “Welcome to the NBA” moment from Larry Bird: “I’m gonna bust you up!”

Image
With the number of players he trash-talked and took to school, if the NBA ever introduces a trash-talking award it should be named after Larry Bird. The guy was just peerless when it comes to mind games, as rookie Eddie Johnson found the hard way.  Eddie Johnson’s "welcome to the NBA" moment Eddie Johnson guested on the Rex Chapman Show with Josh Hopkins published on BasketballNews.com’s Youtube page. He shared what it’s like playing in the NBA and, as usual shared the legendary trash talking and beating he received from no other than Larry Bird.  “There’s one particular one game in Boston. It was my second game of my career and I’m scared to death already. The veterans on my team said, “Eddie just don’t pay attention to him.” So I mind my own business on the jump. He just stands next to me and he leans over and he looks at and he said “Do you honestly think you gonna guard me?”  I just didn’t say nothing. Then he stands up and he looks over at our bench and he looks at Kyl

“I was so happy because Larry Bird told me ‘You a little piece of s**t’” - Rod Strickland recalls his favorite Larry Bird story

Image
Bird has a lot of legendary trash-talking stories from his time in the NBA, but Strickland might be the only guy who was happy to have gotten trash-talked by Bird There's no doubt that Larry Bird is one of the greatest players in NBA history.  Bird was the leader of the Boston Celtics during their stretch in the 1980s that yielded three championships, and while there were a lot of great players in the league during this time, you can make an argument that Bird was the best of the bunch.  The legendary status of Bird is well-known by fans and players alike at this point, but according to Rod Strickland, he was actually happy to get trash-talked by Bird early on in his career. Strickland reveals a hilarious encounter with Bird Strickland was only in the NBA for the final three seasons of Bird's NBA career, and with Bird struggling with injuries, the two didn't meet up very often.  Given how Bird has been in the league for ten years at this point, players who idolized Bir

"I've made a lot of mistakes" - Larry Bird on the silver lining of getting into a bar fight during '85 ECF

Image
Magic Johnson and Larry Bird stood as symbols of success and greatness in the NBA. As a result, fans sought to emulate their game on the court but also expected them to be role models away from it.  However, during the 1985 Eastern Conference Finals, the Indiana native tarnished his image after he found himself in a heated altercation at a bar. The Boston Celtics legend accepted responsibility for his involvement in the incident.  However, he said that the whole situation had one silver lining. Larry's bar brawl After the C's successfully defended their home court to take a 2-0 series lead against the Philadelphia 76ers, Bird decided to go out for a drink and relax at a bar in Quincy Market.  However, the evening took a tumultuous turn when he got into a fight with a bartender-bouncer named Michael Harlow. "He (Bird) sucker punched me in the jaw," the Globe quoted Harlow, per UPI.  "'There was a noise and a scuffle as they came across the street. Then Larry

"That was the ultimate for me" - Larry Bird revealed the greatest achievement of his career

Winning in the most prestigious basketball competition in the world as an old man was the highest point of Larry Bird’s career. Larry Bird has a lot to be proud of as far as his basketball career goes.  He is a Hall of Famer, three-time NBA champion, 12-time All-Star, and a three-time MVP. However, Bird reckoned that none of those could ever equal the feeling of winning a gold medal for your country on the international stage, knowing that you are already way past your prime. "It was a great experience playing for your country," the Boston Celtics legend told Yahoo Sports in 2008.  "The Olympics was the ultimate. That was at the end of my career, I knew it was over for me. Being a young kid and being able to watch the Olympics on TV, and watching participants getting their gold medal, and their (country's) song was played, that was the ultimate for me."  Dream Team Larry was no joke It can be recalled that chronic back pain limited Bird in his final year in t

Larry Bird always thought that he would die young: “Most of us big guys don't seem to last too long”

Image
Larry Bird was one of the most confident players to ever step inside a basketball gym. Known as a big trash talker, Bird would tell opponents what he would do and how before executing what he said.  However, while Larry Legend's belief in his basketball abilities was second to none, he did not trust his body the same way. Late in his NBA career, Bird was bothered by back injuries, which ultimately cut short his NBA career.  But more than that, Larry had an abnormal heart condition known as atrial fibrillation, which always lingered in his mind. In an interview with Jackie McMullan for ESPN, Bird admitted that he always thought that he would die young.  "I tell my wife all the time, 'You don't see many 7-footers walking around at the age of 75,'" says Bird, who's 6-foot-9. "She hates it when I say that. I know there are a few of us who live a long time, but most of us big guys don't seem to last too long. I'm not lying awake at night thinking

Chiefs and Patrick Mahomes are calm after L'Jarius Sneed's departure: They already have a good replacement

Image
Following the Kansas City Chiefs' decision to apply the franchise tag to star cornerback L'Jarius Sneed, a trade was eventually struck with the Tennessee Titans.  In return, the Chiefs received a 2025 third-round pick and engaged in a swap involving a 2024 seventh-round pick. Despite a challenging season, the Titans have stood out in free agency within the NFL. Meanwhile, the Chiefs find themselves in a familiar position of rebuilding.  Their consistent success attracts attention from other teams, leading to the departure of key players like Sneed, particularly when contract negotiations become contentious. This pattern echoes previous losses like Tyreek Hill's move to the Miami Dolphins.  With Chris Jones securing a significant extension, sacrifices such as letting go of Sneed become necessary for the Chiefs. How will the Chiefs adapt to Sneed departure?  However, Chiefs Kingdom can take solace in the astute drafting of general manager Brett Veach, who has consistentl
